Anime Head Side View Guideline Construction Process

Let's get directly into it! Delight note that this is merely how I create guidelines for my drawings. Unlike artists will take different ways in which they construct their guidelines, some can just Freehand everything!

Kickoff, as usual, draw a circle. Next, draw a vertical line downwardly the left or right side of the circle, this is where the head will be facing. Now, decide where you desire the bottom of the mentum to be for your head. If you're drawing a more mature head, the mentum will be longer; if you lot're drawing a younger person, the chin should be shorter. in this case, I'm drawing a young female, so the chin is pretty brusque.

Adjacent, draw a horizontal line in the middle of the head (betwixt the top of the head and the bottom of the chin. This line is where the tiptop of the middle will exist

Describe some other horizontal line between the top of the eyes and lesser of the chin, this guideline is for the bottom of the nose.

Draw a horizontal line slightly into the face from the vertical line, this line should cut across the bottom line for the mentum and the eyes. Add a slight inwards bend around where the heart is. The intersection between the guideline for the bottom of the chin and the vertical line will be where the tip of the mentum touches.

Where the top of the eyes is, draw a slight dip inwards the head.

From the lesser of the chin, describe a line angled outwards roughly equally shown in the paradigm below. Use the guideline to add together in the nose. Connect the lesser of the dip to the tip of the olfactory organ. The tip of the nose is touching the guideline. The bottom of the olfactory organ is touching the guideline for the bottom of the nose. The nose shape and the angle for the guideline tin vary depending on age, gender, your preference etc.

Add another horizontal line between the lesser of the nose and chin, this is the guideline for where to identify the mouth. The mouth should exist slightly above this guideline. When adding in the mouth shape, make sure that only the tip of the top and bottom lips touch the angled guideline.

From the lesser of the mouth to the chin, there'due south a slight inwards curve.

Now yous take a basic shape for the head! Time to start refining and calculation in details.

Add together in the eye, the top of the middle should be around the guideline nosotros made earlier for the centre of the head.

Depict another vertical line downwardly the center of the circle, this will exist the guideline for placing the ear. The ear is roughly between the eyebrows and bottom of the nose.
